Future in-laws don't understand wedding invitations?

This is when your MOH or your bridesmaids come in handy. Or even your mom. Have one of them call or write a nicely worded letter to each party. State everything you just said (make it polite, but firm). Say that you regret not being able to afford (that might get them) all 90 kids in the family and their 15 closest neighbors. Again, politely state that the invited guests have been chosen as they are important people to the bride and groom. Say that extra (uninvited) people will ruin the opportunity to have other invited important people at the wedding. Say that you would not like to have to choose between loved ones and that unfortunately this decision was based on a budget and you cannot spare any more than has been considered. As a MOH or a bridesmaid for a friend of mine, I would be more than willing to be the b****. Most good friends would be willing to take the blame for the strongly worded letter. Good luck and enjoy your day!
