Word meaning brutally honest/verbally abusive?

I receive the Merriam-Webster word of the day email, and they covered a word I'm now unable to find. It perfectly wrapped up in one word when someone is always verbally abusive to everyone around them (brutally honest), they use no filters, could care less about others' feelings, and they huff about "I'm just being honest, everyone should appreciate that."
